Who we are
Formosa Books is a Washington State-based supplier of Traditional Chinese-language books published in Taiwan, serving libraries, schools, and educational institutions across the United States. We work with publishers and distributors in Taiwan to help libraries obtain the titles they need through a reliable and efficient procurement process.
We supply fiction, children's books, comics and light novels, educational materials, nonfiction, and other Traditional Chinese publications based on each library's collection needs. Libraries are welcome to submit their requested titles, and we will work to source the materials whenever possible.
We are a small team, so you will always be working with the same person who handles your order. Every library works a little differently: tell us how you would like to receive quotes, invoices, or shipments, and we will fit into your process.
Our goal is to make books from Taiwan more accessible to American libraries. We reply to every inquiry within 3 business days (Pacific Time), in English or Chinese.

Before you commit, we confirm availability and provide an itemized quote in U.S. dollars, including shipping and an estimated delivery window.
Consolidated international shipping
We consolidate your order in Taiwan and ship it to your library in the United States, handling export paperwork along the way.
U.S. invoicing & library-friendly terms
We accept purchase orders from libraries, invoice in U.S. dollars, and can provide a W-9 and vendor registration information on request.
